Rules

Boat Rules
You will be collected from the airport by a rep. of Blue Planet and taken to your boat.
After a welcome drink, you will be given a short boat briefing. Even if you have been on many liveaboards each boat will have different rules and procedures. To ensure the trip runs smoothly and enjoyable for all, please listen and adhere to this information. A typical briefing will cover:

Smoking Onboard
Smoking is not permitted in the saloon and the cabins. These areas are fitted with fire alarms. Please dispose of all cigarette butts safely and do not throw them overboard.

Safety Procedures
Each boat is provided with ample life jackets and life rafts. Fire extinguishers are placed in each cabin and throughout the boat. All boats have radio contact and oxygen. During the briefing their position and use will be explained.

Diving equipment
The boat provides 12lt cylinders, air, weights and belts as part of your holiday cost. If you require additional equipment or larger tanks please reserve them in advance.
Each buddy pair must carry an SMB and a computer each is advisable.

Diving Experience
You will be asked to provide proof of your diving qualification and experience. Some dive itineraries or dives may require a certain level of experience. Dive guides have the right to ask divers not to participatein a dive if they do not meet this standard. Please check itineraries for any qualification restrictions before booking.

Dive Accident
Each boat holds a 50lt oxygen cylinder and a medical first aid box and various members of staff are medically trained. We recommend that you take out specific diving insurance that covers medical evacuation and hyperbaric treatment.

Shower and Toilets
All cabins are en suite. All boats have desalination units which provide the general use water. It is not drinkable. Please use the water sparingly and ecologically friendly washing products help us to look after our sea.
Please do not dispose of any toiletries including tissue paper down the toilet; it can block not just one toilet but the whole system. Bins are provided in all toilets for this purpose and emptied daily.

General Rules
Shoes are not worn on board the boat. They will be stored for you until you disembark. Dive bags, once unpacked can be given to the crew for storage. Wet dive gear is not allowed in the saloon or cabins.

Cabins
All cabins have air conditioning. There are plug sockets in the cabins but in the interest of safety we ask that torches, lights and telephones are charged from the saloon points. The sockets need a European adaptor and the power is 220volts. Cabin portholes should be closed while the boat is sailing. Towels are provided in the cabins for washing but please bring a beach towel to use on deck.

Sleeping
Sleeping on deck is permitted but do not take bed linen from the cabin.

Health on board
We have a medical kit for emergency use but it is advisable to bring Imodium, pain killers, and sea sickness medication with you.oat rules
